DietLense Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DietLense mobile application ("DietLense," "the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

DietLense helps you log meals and estimate calories, macronutrients, micronutrients, and food health scores using AI, barcode lookups, and manual entry. The app also offers meal planning and grocery features.

2. Not Medical Advice

DietLense is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nutrition estimates and health scores are approximations generated by automated systems and may be inaccurate. DietLense is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, allergy, or other dietary requirement. You rely on the app's estimates at your own risk.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use DietLense.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

• DietLense offers a free tier and optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Plus and Pro, monthly or yearly).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by reverse engineering it, interfering with its operation, submitting unlawful content, or using it to violate the rights of others. Do not submit images or text you do not have the right to share.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the data and images you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the app's features to you (for example, sending an image to our AI provider to estimate nutrition).

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of nutrition estimates, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DietLense and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health outcomes, arising from your use of or reliance on the app.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
